The Vueguard^® 901HD is one of Performance Coatings International’s family of solvent-based UV cured coatings for plastics. It is designed for maximum diffusion without reducing light transmission. In addition, this coating provides excellent chemical, scratch and abrasion resistance.

Range of Uses

The Vueguard^® 901HD is used where a high diffusion coating which allows for 100% light transmission is needed. The following are typical application examples:

¨       Backlit instrument panels eliminate hot spots

¨       Process flow diagrams enhances color readability

¨       Overhead fluorescent light diffuser

¨       Exit and doorway signs

Coating Application Methods

The Vueguard^® 901HD may be applied via spray (hand or automated), roll or flow coating.

Surface Printing

Surface printing over Vueguard^® 901HD coated products is feasible by using PCI’s proprietary surface treatment PST-1126.

Scratch and Abrasion Resistance

The Vueguard^® 901HD coatings deliver an extended service life when compared to uncoated substrates while maintaining an attractive appearance. Tests conducted using both Performance Coatings International’s steel wool scratch tester and the Taber Abrasion Tester show no attack in either case.

Cleaning Instructions

Vueguard^® 901HD coated sheets and fabricated parts may be cleaned using ordinary liquid window cleaners and a soft cloth.
